Launch of new insulin pen with memory function for children
Novo Nordisk today launched its latest in device technology – the new NovoPen Echo®. This new insulin pen is designed specifically for children and Denmark is the first country where the new pen is available. NovoPen Echo® is the first-ever insulin pen to offer both a simple memory function allowing checking the time lapsed since last dose and half-unit increments for fine-tuning of insulin dosing often required by children. Additionally, NovoPen Echo® comes in different colours for easy identification of long-acting and fast-acting insulin. “We developed NovoPen Echo® with the needs of kids in mind. We aim to enhance the confidence of kids with diabetes and their parents. Knowing if or when children injected their last insulin dose has for long been an unmet need within families with diabetes,” says Svend Elk, corporate vice president of Devices for Novo Nordisk Read more about NovoPen Echo®: diabetes/public/insulinpens/novopen-echo/default.asp For more information, please contact:
